Domain List Scam?
We received calls from our customers. They asked if they needed to pay for a “Domain Listing?” We told them it’s probably a scam. When you log in to your webhosting provider, they will let you know if your website is having any issues. Ussually there are notifications. The webhosting provider will let you know if there is a problem with payment, an expired domain, or any webhosting information. If you have any questions please reach out to your web designer / web hosting provider. So you can make sure this “Domain Listing” is a legit bill.

Domain Listing Scam UPDATE:
Apparently this is a scam. The service is called “Website Listing.” It’s been around since 2017 and it involves you or your company receiving an invoice requesting payment for “Website Listing Services.” The scammers claim you could end up losing your website listing. These companies want you to pay yearly for a useless web listing that is not your actual web hosting. These web listings are not used by search engines.
And we are still receiving letters to this day.
At Lightning Bilt, we are still getting letters, emails and phone calls about our “Website Listing.”
