Taglines are permanent, they sell the brand. Taglines are created by Brand Designers and Verbal Strategists. Also, they can’t become slogans. Ussually, they are short, simple and concise.

Nike’s Tagline is: Just Do It.

Slogans are temporary, they sell the product. Slogans are created by a marketing team and can become taglines. They can be long, but a short slogan is more memorable.

Nike’s Slogan is: A Feel For Every You.

Taglines and slogans should be used consistently across all platforms. Likewise they should be used in conjunction with the logo to create a unified brand image.
