Carnival Rides at the Permian Basin Fair
The kids and I recently embarked on a spontaneous video production project, seizing the exciting opportunity presented by the vibrant Permian Basin Fair.
This annual celebration, a beloved local tradition, boasts a dazzling array of thrilling rides and captivating entertainment. The festive atmosphere, coupled with the dynamic movement of the rides, provided an ideal backdrop for our creative video project.
Fortunate with a picture-perfect day in Odessa, Texas, we were blessed with abundant sunshine, creating ideal conditions for capturing vibrant and dynamic footage.
This impromptu project proved to be a fun experience for the family while capturing the entertaining spirit of the Permian Basin Fair & Expo!
Several Carnival Rides & Great Video Footage
The kids were absolutely thrilled to experience the exhilarating carnival rides! Their happy screams and laughter provided the perfect soundtrack for our video production.
We captured a wealth of dynamic footage, capturing the mesmerizing motion of each ride from unique perspectives.
A particular highlight was capturing the majestic Ferris wheel with a 360-degree camera. This innovative approach allowed us to immerse viewers in the breathtaking views as the wheel ascended, creating a truly captivating experience.
For the remainder of the shoot, we relied on the exceptional capabilities of Sony’s latest camera, the A7IV. To mitigate the challenges of the bright Texas sun, we strategically employed ND filters. These filters effectively reduced shutter speed and minimized glare, enabling us to record footage of exceptional quality with optimal exposure, even under the intense midday sun.
This project was a great success for great video footage of the carnival rides at the Permian Basing Fair but also cherished memories of a fun-filled family adventure.
